In the poem “Red Shift” by Ted Berrigan the poet suggests shows a change in his tone throughout the poem. In the beginning, he seems very bad and sad. The speaker's for he life changed from being a successful man who lived in long island to being an elderly alcoholic who is reminiscing about his lifetime. he say “I am 43. When will I die? I will never die, I will live to be 110.” I think he have a very bad life and he think some carzy. maybe heand the middle of he life. In this poem it could really make people think about life and not to take anything fro granted and just live life. People experience things that they may not want too but it’s just the flow of life. this poem think take care about your life.
